Meisinger Gunsmith & Lathe Co. conducts professional appraisals of firearms ranging from standard hunting firearms to collectible and antique pieces, with or without documented •provenance. Appraisal services include handguns, rifles, shotguns, and custom or gunsmith-modified firearms.

*Provenance - Legitimate documented record of ownership or chain of custody establishing a timeline of location or event(s) used as a guide of authenticity or quality.  Provenance should be presented at the time of firearm drop-off in order to authenticate and incorporate into historical research required to value the firearm.

Firearm appraisal services can vary in time to complete.  Consideration of appraisal purpose is taken to account in support of time requirements when legal or insurance scenarios are present.  However, to best support our customers with valuation accuracy, when appraising antiques and pieces with provenance, it is necessary to understand that firearm quantity, condition, availability of research documentation, scheduled interaction with known firearm experts, manufacturers, associations and establishments can at times, extend appraisal completion times.
